My project/Coat Hanger

For the past couple of weeks, we started a new project that would get us through most of term 3 and 4. We used many different tools to help create our masterpiece. This is my final piece.
The materials we used were;
We used this file to file down our work to get it the desired shape for the base and hook

Emery Cloth- Used to get your work clean and shiny, Get the engineers blue off, scuffs marks etc

Vice- Used to clench you work so it is easier to hacksaw, file  etc.
Welding Torch- Used to heat up the metal ready to bend the hook part ready to rivet onto our base

Rivet- Used to bind two pieces of metal together. So the hook and the base has a strong stable bond and there was no way it would come loose

Ball Pein Hammer- Use to smash the rivet flat and create a nice flush surface.Image result for ball pein hammer
Spray Paint- Used to color the metal to the colour of your liking

Hacksaw- Used to cut the metal to make your  job easier by cutting down the file time to half of what is would have taken if you done it only with a file

Drill- Drill the holes for the rivets and the countersink etc.

Engineers Blue- Used to see the lines easier, Make them easily visible to file to or cut.

Did We Land On The Moon?

3 facts why it's a hoax:

-there are no stars in the sky. Because there is no atmosphere on the moon there should be thousands of stars present.

-In video footage of the landing, the American flag is moving. There is no atmosphere on the moon so there is no wind. The only way the flag could wave is if the footage was shot on earth.

-A big question facing the NASA team planning the Apollo 11 moon landing was what would the moon’s surface be like-would the lander’s legs touch down on the firm ground, or sink into something soft? The surface turned out to be solid, but the real surprise was that the moon had a smell.

3 facts why it's real:

-The moon's surface reflects sunlight, and that glare would have made stars difficult to see. Also, the astronauts photographed their lunar adventures using fast exposure settings, which would have limited incoming background light.

-when the flag was pushed into the ground, the action of the ground, the action of the astronaut would have made the flag move.
