Aim: To separate a solute from a solvent in a solution using distillation.
Equipment: Blue food coloring, conical flask, heatproof mat, a delivery tube, and bung, Bunsen burner, tripod, gauze mat, retort stand, boss head, and clamp, boiling tube
Method:
1. Set up the equipment as shown in the diagram.
2. Add approximately 50 ml of water and a few drops of food coloring to your conical flask.
3. Light your bunsen burner. Open the air hole and gently push the bunsen burner under the tripod.
4. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated. Turn off your bunsen burner.
Results: We are using coke to condense it.
Discussion: The solution gets boiled n heated which creates gas. The gas evaporates into steam and flows through the delivery tube then condensing back into a solvent. Whats left behind is tartar which is a solute

Music - Performance
What did you choose to perform and why?
I chose the piano because I've been wanting to know how to do it but I didn't know some chords so i only did three.

Facts On Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs live many centuries ago, but now extinct over a meteoroid. The name dinosaur means ¨terrible lizard¨. But not all dinosaurs were lizards, and not all dinosaurs were terrible. Small plant-eating dinosaurs were about as terrible as today's sheep. Many other kinds of creatures lived before them, including many other types of reptiles. Over millions of years, one of these groups of reptiles probably changed very slowly, or evolved, into the first dinosaurs.
Making A Dilution Series
Aim: To make a dilution series to investigate the concentration
Equipment: A potassium permanganate crystal, six large test tubes, tweezers, a plastic transfer pipette, a test tube rack, 10ml measuring cylinder
Method:
1. Place the six test tubes in a test rack. Label the rack with numbers 1-6
2. Using the measuring cylinder, fill the test tube 1 with 10 ml of water. Fill the remaining test tubes with 5ml of water
3. Using your tweezers, add a single crystal of potassium permanganate to test tube 1
4. Gently shake the test tube until the crystal has dissolved
5. Using the transfer pipette, carefully remove exactly 5ml from the test tube 1 and pour in into test tube 2
6. Rinse the transfer pipette again and repeat the transfer process for test tube 4, 5 and 6

Results:
Solute: The Solid/ Potassium Permanganate
Solvent: The Liquid/ Water
Solution: The Two Things Added Together
Soluble: The Substances Cant Dissolve
Concentrated: More Solid Than Liquid
Discussion-
The Solute turned into liquid when we were mixing the solution together.
