Reading skills are the ability to interact and understand the meaning to read, comprehend, interpret, and docode written text. Reading skills are important in school as they allow the children to assess their curriculum and improve their communication and language skills and helps them by making sentences while adding new words.
Some reading strategies are.
Using prior knowledge/previewing, predicting, identifying the main idea and summarization, questioning, making inferences, visualizing, story maps and retelling.
